Aware that clinical excellence is only part of the story, the staff at allegiant exudes warmth and concern for all our residents, ensuring an atmosphere conducive to optimal well-being and recovery.

Our ultimate goal is to provide the type of treatment that addresses the whole life of a patient or resident, not just a treatment of the immediate concern. There is much more to rehabilitation programs provided at allegiant, with a genuine concern for understanding each individual throughout the rehabilitation process, so we may provide the most positive and appropriate care possible.

From intensive short-stay rehab to longer-term restorative care, allegiant Healthcare of Phoenix provides a full range of medical and social services to treat and support each and every one of our patients and residents.

The allegiant physical therapy team works toward specific goals of achieving the residents’ highest functional level of independence. Physical therapy focuses on identification and rehabilitation of individuals with physical impairment and pain, as well as future injury prevention. Following evaluation, our experienced physical therapists develop an individualized treatment program.

We also understand that it is not enough to only treat a patient’s physical symptoms alone. Injuries, disease, and medical conditions can have profound effects on emotional wellbeing and family relationships. By treating the “whole” person, we help patients achieve a level of satisfaction with their lives that they may not have thought possible

Occupational therapy assists our residents in adapting to their social and physical environment by mastering tasks essential for daily living. Our occupational therapists may work with residents who have debilitating arthritic conditions or those with difficulty bathing, dressing and other activities of daily living.

Anti-Gravity Treadmill

The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill® provides patients a rehab and training experience unlike ever before. With its unique unweighting capabilities, the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill® allows patients move rehabilitation and training forward by:

The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill® gives patients a way of non-painful, controlled weight bearing early in the recovery period. This state of the art technology provided patients with neurological/muscular lower extremity impairments the assisted ability to regain mobility, develop strength and fitness, and increase range of motion and natural movement – all while minimizing stress on injuries. Being able to get injured or post surgical patients to begin non to low weight bearing movement earlier in the rehab process is critical to an earlier return to as normal as possible lifestyle. Studies show that an earlier return to activity prevents atrophy of supporting muscles, decreases swelling, and improves outcomes.

The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill® treadmill provides patient’s the opportunity to practice increased walking speed or running without the fear of falling, which can be an issue for seniors and new amputees. It allows them to practice the movements and slowly gain confidence in their ability to move, by increasing the body weight on the treadmill until they are at 100%.

Patient Safe Transitions Home

Prior to returning home, our professional therapists will complete an in-home assessment to identify activities of daily living and equipment required for a successful and safe transition back home. To assist in this successful transition, we evaluate the skills required in our special kitchen and laundry setting under the direction of our “Home Bound” training staff.
